Product Description

This is FrSky's newest X6R receiver featuring 16 channels (6 normal PWM outputs and all 16 channels on the dedicated SBus output). Plus the exciting new Smart Port and a traditional A2 port on the bottom. Remove the jumper and connect an FBVS for basic & econmical external voltage monitoring.

Smaller than the X8R, but still packing 16 channels and the new Smart Port that supports the new hub-less digital sensors!  Or, connect either of the new variometer sensors, and then connect the old sensor hub to use existing analog sensors (such as analog temp, current, etc).

A common question we get is how do you get all 16 channels out of the X6R? Well, FrSky has given you options! You can use the SBus port to access any or all 16 channels. Using something like the FrSky SBus Decoder, you can convert the digital SBus signal to normal PWM servo outputs. You can connect SBus servos directly to the SBus line, FrSky will have several servo options very soon. The X6R can be bound so that it outputs channels 1-6 or 9-14 on the PWM pins. This allows the X6R and X8R to be used in pairs for extended channel outputs.

In addition, the X6R can be set to "D8” Mode to work with the DHT, DJT, DFT and DHT-U transmitter modules. In this mode you have 8 channels, and the SBus output can still be used!

Dimension: 47.5mm x 23.8mm x 14.6mm (1.86" x 94" x .575")

Weight: 15.4g (.54 oz) with PCB antennas

Operating Voltage Range: 4V-10.0V

Operating Current: 100mA@5V

Operating Range: >1.5km (Full Range)

RSSI output: analog voltage output (0~3.3V)

Firmware Upgradeable

All 16 channels requires the FrSky Taranis, or the XJT module bound in D16 mode.

For 8 channels in D8 Mode you can use the FrSky Taranis or XJT, DJT, DFT, DHT and DHT-U modules.

  1. Very functional - easy bind 5 Star Review

Posted by on 10th Nov 2016

Using output channels 1-6 binding was super easy - no jumpers or anything just put the tx in bind and turned on the receiver with button held down. Almost instant bind. All channel outputs worked exactly as expected. Hooked up GPS to smart port and told tx to look for new sensors and had GPS data right away. It all works for a good price. I have not flown it yet.

  2. great little RX but set your failsafe 4 Star Review

Posted by on 6th Oct 2016

It seems that the Rx is set to full throttle on signal loss.
