This Receiver is compatible with FrSky 2-Way Telemetry modules: DFT, DJT, DHT, DHT-U
The XP is a special receiver that is identical to the D8R-II Plus, but it has added the RSSI and CPPM outputs commonly used for FPV aircraft. CPPM can reduce wiring to some flight controllers, a single servo extension can carry all 8 channels to the flight computer. Furthermore, CPPM output can be used as a wireless trainer system (wireless trainer cable). The RSSI output is for use with On Screen Display (OSD) systems that are common in the First Person View (FPV) vehicles. (All FrSky telemetry receivers send RSSI levels back to the transmitter, but this receiver can output this data for use with an OSD.)
NOTE: We will put the 27ms CPPM firmware update on all XP receivers for improved safety by default. If you don't want it, please add a note in your purchase.
Operating Voltage Range: 3.5V-10.0V
Operating Current: 100mA
Operating Range: Full Range >1.5km
Servo Frame Rate: 18ms (FS Normal Speed Mode)
9ms (HS High Speed Mode)
- Two external analog telemetry ports (A1&A2) and one digital data-stream port (Rx);
- RSSI (PWM) and CPPM output if channel 3 and channel 4 are connected by a jumper;
- When side port pins of A1 and X are connected by the jumper, A1 will change from external analog telemetry port to internal built-in battery voltage sensor;
- Convenient to upgrade no need to open the receiverÂs case when upgrading;
- Two switchable PPM modes - FS mode and HS mode;
- Alarm warning on low voltage, poor reception, etc.
Warning: Battery or servos are NOT to be plugged into side ports (A1/A2/Rx), otherwise damage may occur.
Warning: HS mode is only applied for high-speed digital servos. Other servos should select FS mode, otherwise servos will get hot and may burn out.

Helibatics let me exchange to a more usable receiver that fit my needs. These are excellent people to purchase from. Will purchase more from them in the future.

I now have four of these recievers and they work very well. Easy to bind. Easy to set failsafe. I updated the firmware to allow use of all 8 channels on cppm, but in 99% of cases this is not required. You can get inexpensive sensor modules, the ones I have tried work well and are easy to set up. The antennas have connectors so they are easy to replace if damaged or you want better or longer to get it out side the model. Telemetry works well, my transmitter module beeps warnings if I go to far. I also have a numeric readout.
I have ordered a few times from Helibatics, prices are just a little higher than from china, but you get it in days instead of weeks. Basically if I need frsky gear and helibatics has it I buy from them because I know it will go out the door fast. They also did a good job of answering my questions when I was unsure of something.

Wery nice reciver indeed RSSI/cppm and internal volt sensor with a voltage divider of /4 on the analog pin. And don't be put off by the bridge of channel (3 and 4) for rssi and cppm if you like me need 1-4 channel's joust drop a Frsky "s-buss/cppm to pwm decoder" in channel 1--> AKA s-buss/cppm, and use a channel changer to sett your channel of choice and you are sett for FPV with a 7channel radio :-) with flapps & pan tilt and one channel 8 for aux 5 volt :-) cheers
